Drug Bust in Casagiove: Four Arrested with Cocaine and Crack

The presence of two cars, a Renault Twingo and a Volkswagen T-Roc, registered to two different rental companies, positioned opposite each other on Via Martiri di Bellona, a side street on the Appia between Caserta and Casagiove, each with two people on board, aroused suspicion last night in the carabinieri of the Casagiove Station who thus decided to carry out a surveillance operation. The intuition allowed the carabinieri to arrest, for drug trafficking, the four occupants of the two cars, three men and a woman aged between 25 and 37 years. The four were first noticed pulling up with the cars and exchanging packages and then handing over a dose to a buyer who, having arrived on foot, managed to escape before the patrol intervened. Following personal and vehicle searches, the four, a 28-year-old from Grumo Nevano, a 25-year-old from Casandrino, a 37-year-old from Marcianise, and a 35-year-old from Maddaloni were found in possession of 19 doses of cocaine weighing about 8 grams and 82 doses of crack weighing about 30 grams, as well as 240 euros in cash, presumably proceeds from drug dealing, and several mobile phones used for this purpose. The arrested were taken to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and the women's prison of Pozzuoli.
