Drug Bust in Caserta: Young Couple Arrested

The State Police of Caserta have arrested a couple of Italians, aged 19 and 20, believed to be responsible for the possession with intent to distribute narcotics. The movements in the territory of the municipality of Santa Maria Capua Vetere of the car, with the two young people on board, aroused the suspicion of the police officers, who noticed numerous people approaching the vehicle from the passenger side, occupied by the woman, who, after a brief conversation, walked away. The two were stopped and checked, and after a search carried out also in their respective homes, the Mobile Squad found about 100 grams of cocaine and hashish, as well as a precision scale. Both were arrested and the man, with numerous previous offenses related to drugs, was taken to jail in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, while the woman, with no criminal record, to the women's prison in Pozzuoli.
