This morning in Lettere, the local Carabinieri together with the military of the operational section of the company of Castellammare di Stabia carried out a thorough inspection at Via San Giorgio in Casola, Naples.
The area in question is where on February 19th, Ciro Gargiulo, a 59-year-old man from Lettere, was murdered. During the operations, the Carabinieri found and seized 33 kilos of marijuana belonging to unknown individuals. The drug was in two large bags that had been hidden in open ground covered by the brambles of vegetation on the banks of a stream. The investigation continues.
Last night in Castellammare, instead, the Carabinieri of the radio mobile section arrested for drug possession for the purpose of dealing, a 20-year-old local man named Antonio Russo. The man - already subject to the measure of the obligation to report to the judicial police - was found in possession of 30 grams of drugs between marijuana and hashish already divided into doses. In the man's pockets was also the sum of 1,400 euros believed to be proceeds from the crime. The arrested is awaiting trial.
