Drug Bust in Naples: Arrest and Seizure in Piazza San Francesco a Capuana

Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato police station, during their designated duties in Piazza San Francesco a Capuana, noticed an individual who, after retrieving something from a container under a bench, handed it over to another person in exchange for money. The police promptly intervened to stop the criminal process by detaining both the buyer, who was found in possession of the recently purchased dose, and the suspect, who was found in possession of 3 wraps containing crack and 35 euros, clear proceeds of the criminal activity; moreover, the officers recovered the container under the bench, inside which they found another 24 wraps of the same substance, weighing approximately 4 grams in total. For these reasons, a 34-year-old man from Nigeria, with previous convictions, including specific ones, was arrested for illegal possession and distribution of narcotic substances, while the buyer was administratively fined for possession of narcotics for personal use.
