Drug Bust in Scampia: Arrest Made for Illicit Substance Possession

Yesterday afternoon, the officers of the Scampia Police Station, during the services expressly arranged, noticed near the arcades of a building a subject who, after taking something from the mailbox, handed it over to a person in exchange for money; the latter then quickly walked away. The operators promptly intervened to interrupt the criminal process by stopping the suspect who was found in possession of a cocaine package, weighing 0.25 grams and 80 euros, divided into banknotes of various denominations. Furthermore, the police found inside the mailbox, a block of Hashish weighing 120 grams, a package of Cocaine weighing 20.47 grams, and a precision scale. For these reasons, the 48-year-old man from Naples with previous police records, including specific ones, was arrested for illegal possession of drugs.
