Drug Trafficking Arrest in Santa Maria Capua Vetere

The State Police of Caserta have arrested a man in Santa Maria Capua Vetere deemed responsible for the possession with intent to distribute narcotics. During territorial control activities in the municipality of Santa Maria, the public security police station stopped a vehicle, driven by the 47-year-old, whose ambiguous responses and evasive behavior aroused the officers' suspicion. Subjected to more thorough checks, one kilogram of hashish, divided into bars, and about 30 doses of 'crack' and cocaine were found on board the vehicle. Further investigations, also carried out with the intervention of the mobile squad, allowed to trace more hashish and a precision scale at the subject's home. As a result of the investigations, the man, with a history of fraud and drug-related crimes, was declared under arrest and taken to prison in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
