Drug Trafficking Hub Dismantled at Castel Volturno: A Couple Arrested

A man and a woman were arrested by the Carabinieri on the order of the Gip of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere court for managing a cocaine and hashish trafficking square at Castel Volturno; she was sent to prison, he was placed under house arrest. The investigation, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria, also lists two other women as investigated. The investigation began after, in August 2021, the Carabinieri of the Grazzanise station stopped a car along the road leading to Castel Volturno with some drug consumers on board; the military seized cocaine and learned from the users that the purchase had occurred in the municipality of the Domitian coast, near some Italians living in one of the many alleys leading from the Domiziana state road to the sea. In the alleyway, the Carabinieri of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Company installed a camera on the Prosecutor's Office led by Pierpaolo Bruni's orders, which allowed them to reconstruct the drug trafficking activity. During the investigation, dozens of the pushers' clients were stopped; thirty-three seizures of coke and hashish were made, all traceable to the trafficking square managed by the group of Italians; almost a unique case in a territory where most of the trafficking squares, from which users and other pushers from all the Campanian provinces and other regions supply themselves, are managed by dealers linked to the Nigerian mafia. The four Italians involved in the dismantled activity this morning, seem to have had no conflict with the African pushers, indeed they sold at significant rates using their own homes.
