The Dum Dum Republic opens its doors for the Casatiello Party, the iconic Easter Monday event that officially kicks off the season of big concerts at the most famous beach club in Cilento.
A true celebration with all the historic friends of Dum Dum to celebrate 20 years of Casatiello Day, featuring a grand beach picnic with an American barbecue and unstoppable rhythm of rock'n'roll, marking the return of the one and only, undisputed Captain of Dum Dum Republic, Mr Roy Paci, singer, trumpeter, and producer, but most importantly, the artistic director of the “RoyMundo Festival”, a festival that gathers the sounds of world music to ignite the summer of the beach arena at Dum Dum, in the shadow of the Archaeological Park of the temples of Paestum.
Contributing to the sonic journey, by popular demand, will also be MissPia Vintage Dj, amidst '50s pin-ups and vinyls, and the music aficionado Dj Delta. Previewing the event on Easter Sunday, another symbolic figure of the Dum Dum Republic, Andrea Cota aka Mondocane, a tireless traveler in search of experimental sounds, but with his heart always in Cilento.
“Casatiello Party turns 20! It was back in 2004 when at Dum Dum we decided to have a bit of healthy revelry among tarantellas and rock'n'roll, casatiello and mojito. Let's start the dances with the captain of all world parties, Mr Roy Paci – states Biancaluna Bifulco, owner of the Dum Dum Republic – For this symbolic day we have called all our friends to gather. Everyone involved in our great beach picnic. Ours is a sensory vertigo on the world: we believe in human rights, in the value of women, in the global sound, in the revolutionary and universal language of music, which becomes a vehicle for meeting the other, for dialogue, beyond borders, in a message of peace, even more important today.”
“It will be a stratospheric atmosphere. The Dum Dum for me is a soul place, in a natural and simple exchange with people. It's like lubricating the spirit, in a fairy tale space, in the wonderful frame of southern Italy,” says Roy Paci. Just in the last few weeks, the artist, recognized for the incomparable style of his brass section, through his social channels has announced the “new bomb coming, the new wave”, working on a new single and album. “I start from where everything began, from when I brought the 'Latinero' style to Italy a lot has happened. It's time for the new wave. That giant, wandering, oceanic one. This is the moment. We are at a good point.”
The Dum Dum Republic is the sea hut where you can grant yourself a fragment of infinity, immersed in an extraordinary natural scenario, while the sound of drums accompanies the spectacle of the sun setting into the sea on the horizon.
