Eduwork: Bridging the Gap in the Technical Industrial Sector

Ensuring employment opportunities on one hand and providing companies with the necessary human resources to be competitive in the job market. Eduwork, the first training hub in Southern Italy focused on employment for welders and industrial plant technicians, was created with this goal in mind and is the new project of FMTS Group, a network of companies operating in the field of job training, to facilitate the meeting between demand and supply. The new hub was established in response to the changing needs of the market which will be discussed and presented during the inauguration event that will be held on Monday, April 29, at 10:30 AM, in via Leonardo Da Vinci 15 in Pontecagnano Faiano, Salerno. Recently, there has been a significant mismatch, namely the lack of correspondence between the job demand by companies and the supply of workers. According to an analysis conducted by ResearcHu Institute for Eduwork, in 2023 there was a growing demand for professionals in the technical industrial sector and a mismatch of 40% - a request that exceeds the annual average by 3.2% (ResearcHu analysis based on Excelsior Unioncamere data). This gap in professionals has translated into a loss of 49.3 billion euros for Italian companies. Eduwork is sponsored by Confindustria Salerno, Cisl Salerno, FIM Cisl Salerno, Cgil Campania Region, Confindustria Abruzzo medio Adriatico of the provinces of Chieti Pescara and Teramo, and the Province of Salerno.
