The eighth edition of the Ischia Sea Cross Trophy has now been archived, organized by the Ischiacross association on the Chiaia beach, in Forio, and this year it was for the first time ever also the first appointment of the FMI motocross regional championship.
The classic formula of the event was overcome due to bad weather, since Saturday in addition to free practice also saw timed practice and all the first race heats for the various categories. With the weather given in constant worsening, the fear of the organizers and the Campano committee of the FMI was in fact not being able to complete all the races on Sunday. Instead, even the races scheduled for Sunday took place according to the program, also finding a certain response in the public, who braved the wind and cold to watch the spectacle of the motorcycles.
As per the program, the real star of the day was Matteo Del Coco, a motocross champion in various specialties, who literally danced in the saddle both on Saturday and on Sunday. After dominating the category heats, Del Coco also won the Supercampion heat reserved for the best in the various rankings.
