The Carabinieri of the Maddaloni station, in the province of Caserta, following a delicate investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, have executed a house arrest order against a man in his seventies, accused of sexual harassment, committed in Maddaloni in early July 2023 against a young woman.
In particular, the measure comes as a result of the immediate and thorough investigations carried out by the military, both on the basis of the statements made by the young victim and through the acquisition of footage from city cameras, which allowed the identification of the retiree, ascertaining that on a hot afternoon in early July, he had taken advantage of a young woman, sexually harassing her while she was walking along a sun-drenched city street, forcing her to enter a solitary doorway and groping her private parts. The girl, fortunately, after considerable difficulty, managed to wriggle free and escape, then taking refuge in the police station and immediately reporting the sad event that had happened to her.
