Elderly Woman Injured in Avellino Accident

An elderly woman was hit in the city of Avellino while crossing the street. It happened on Via Circumvallazione this morning just before noon. The woman is a 68-year-old from Mercogliano. She was transported in critical condition to Moscati Hospital. She suffered a head injury and underwent a series of examinations. At the scene of the accident, municipal police officers cordoned off the area to allow rescue operations. The driver of the car, a 50-year-old from Avellino, immediately stopped to assist the woman. Officers conducted surveys to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
