Thieves took away five thousand euros in cash from her home, then they found the ATM card and emptied the account. The victim is an 80-year-old woman from Avellino.
The woman had left her apartment for a few days to go out of the province.
Upon her return, she noticed the visit of the thieves who had ransacked all the rooms. Five thousand euros in cash and the ATM card with the related pin left near the card were stolen.
Thus, the elderly woman discovered that more withdrawals of six hundred euros each had been made in the province of Naples. She then reported to the police. The officers of the Flying Squad of the Avellino Police Headquarters carried out an inspection in the house in search of traces. The investigations are ongoing.
