The Carabinieri of Caserta thwarted a theft of electrical cables from a warehouse on Via Monza belonging to the company Terna S.p.A., an operator of networks for the transmission of electricity.
The carabinieri of the capital's company responded to an alarm signal from the company and upon their arrival, they saw three criminals with balaclavas loading the copper onto a Fiat Ducato van.
The criminals managed to escape and lose their tracks, so the carabinieri recovered the 4,000 kilograms of just stolen copper, valued at about 50,000 euros, seizing the van.
