Establishment of the PNRR Coordination Unit in Caserta

The prefect of Caserta, Giuseppe Castaldo, has established the "PNRR Coordination Unit" in order to make the territorial monitoring of the interventions of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan more effective, to encourage synergies between different administrations and implementing bodies, and to improve the support activity in favor of territorial entities. It will be up to the new body to define the action plan for the effective and timely implementation of the programs and interventions provided by the PNRR at the provincial level, according to the specific guidelines that will be adopted by the Mission Structure established at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, within sixty days from the entry into force of the legislative decree n. 19/2024. Another task of the "Coordination Unit" will be to examine the initiatives carried out, detect any critical issues, and draft reports relating to the outcomes of the monitoring carried out. The body is chaired by the Prefect or his delegate, with the participation of the President of the Province of Caserta, a representative of the Region and the Territorial State Accounting Office, a representation of the mayors of the municipalities holding interventions, and representatives of the Central Administrations holding the programs and interventions provided by the PNRR to be implemented at the provincial level.
