Experimental Traffic Limited Zones Established in Vaccheria and San Leucio

The council has approved a resolution establishing an experimental Limited Traffic Zone (Ztl) in Vaccheria and San Leucio. There will be three checkpoints, with the aim of limiting, during certain periods of the year and within a predetermined time slot, the excessive flow of vehicles in the two historic villages of Caserta. The initiative will start on May 15th for the checkpoint on Via Vaccheria in San Leucio, near the ascent leading to the Belvedere. The checkpoint will be active from May 15th to October 15th, every day, from 7 pm to 6 am the following morning. Similarly, from May 15th to October 15th, every day, from 7 pm to 6 am, the Ztl will be active at the checkpoint on Via Cappuccio, at the entrance gate to Vaccheria. The checkpoint on Via Antonio Planelli, the road in San Leucio connecting Piazza della Seta to the Belvedere, will be activated on July 1st. This checkpoint will be active until August 31st on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays within the week, from 8 pm to 3 am.
