Explorers Discover: The Colors of History at Capodimonte

Sunday, April 28, as part of the project "Little Explorers Discover...", NarteA presents the event "The Colors of History", dedicated to children from 5 to 12 years old, scheduled at the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, which will lead the young visitors to discover the magic of the Bourbon Palace and the artworks hosted in the Museum, the appointment is at the entrance of the Palace at 11. The children will turn into real explorers, getting to know the places through direct reconnaissance and taking note of the results in a small booklet with fun and recreational activities, in which they can report what they have learned, having fun, imagining, going beyond the known boundaries. "The Colors of History" will see the "little explorers" engaged in the discovery of the Capodimonte Museum, which stands on the hill of the same name and is surrounded by the Real Bosco, a green area of over 130 hectares, with more than 400 plant species. Here the children will be able to walk along the avenues, designed by the architect Ferdinando Sanfelice, discovering the site, born in the 18th century as a hunting reserve of King Charles of Bourbon and became the residence of three dynasties: the Bourbons, the French sovereigns Joseph Bonaparte and Joachim Murat, and the Savoys after the Unification of Italy. A unique opportunity to visit, with a special simple and fun guide for children, the Farnese collection, with extraordinary masterpieces by Titian, Parmigianino, Carracci and a very rich heritage of decorative arts. Next to the Farnese collection, on the first floor, the Royal Apartment with the Bourbon manufactories, including the famous porcelains. Here, the "little explorers" will be able to stop to carry out together with the NarteA guides the activities included in the booklet, of which they will be equipped at the beginning of the journey: stickers to attach, easy crosswords to solve together and drawings to make to express creativity, learning.
