In the last forty-eight hours, the police of the Cerreto Sannita company have carried out a wide-ranging territorial control service in all 21 municipalities under their jurisdiction, with the aim of preventing crimes against persons and property.
They deployed a device consisting of a total of 47 patrols, including 5 in civilian clothes, which carried out a total control of 344 individuals, including some already known to the police, and 285 vehicles.
In particular, the activity was mainly focused on the prevention of home burglaries and the prevention and suppression of so-called red code crimes, in addition to massive road traffic control to prevent the increasing number of road accidents along the main communication arteries connecting Sannio with the Province of Caserta and Campobasso.
Personal and vehicle searches were also carried out in search of weapons and drugs.
In the municipality of Cerreto Sannita, three vehicles subject to administrative seizure were driven by local citizens; in Faicchio a motorist was fined for driving without a license, in the municipalities of Amorosi, Cerreto Sannita, Cusano Mutri, Morcone and San Salvatore Telesino, eight motorists were fined for failing to carry out the required periodic revision of their vehicles; in the municipality of Frasso Telesino two motorists were stopped while driving their vehicles without wearing seat belts, in Santa Croce del Sannio a car was seized that was circulating despite being subject to administrative stop.
In all municipalities, there were numerous other penalties to the Highway Code imposed for a total amount of over 11 thousand euros.
Furthermore, late yesterday afternoon, the police of Solopaca arrested a local young man, already known to the police, for violating the precautionary measure of the prohibition of approaching places frequented by the injured party. The man, disregarding the judge's instructions, approached his ex-girlfriend near a shop where she was shopping, threatening her. The woman, fearing for her safety, called the police who promptly intervened, stopping the young man who, at the end of the formalities, was declared under arrest and, by order of the Judicial Authority, subjected to house arrest. Even in this case, the police have shown that the protection of the weak sections of the population is really their priority, acting immediately with the primary aim of ensuring the safety of the victim. The person under arrest, at this stage, is under investigation and therefore presumed innocent until a final sentence.
