A specific and highly complex technique, which allowed the Urology team of Umberto I of Nocera, together with the anesthetists and the nursing and technical staff, to remove a tumorous mass as big as a soccer ball and weighing almost 5 kilos.
The diagnosis, after the incidental finding of a large mass on the patient's right kidney, extending to involve the large vessels of the body (specifically, the vena cava) led to the execution of the surgical operation that lasted about two hours.
