Firefighters Rescue Injured Dog from Canal in Sessa Aurunca

A team of firefighters from the Provincial Command of Caserta, specifically from the Teano detachment, intervened this morning around 11 in the locality of Maiano, near the Suio dam, in the municipality of Sessa Aurunca, alerted by a local resident who had heard the cries of a dog inside a canal. Immediately arriving on the scene, the firefighters descended into the water-filled canal where they found a dog, a white Corso breed, trapped among bushes and undergrowth, injured and in visible distress. After freeing the dog, the firefighters took it out of the ditch and handed it over to the veterinary service of Pignataro Maggiore for the necessary care.
