Five Million Euros Allocated to Polla Hospital: Essential Structural Works to be Carried Out

"I am very satisfied with the five million euros allocated to the Polla hospital. I personally followed the progress of this funding, which I consider of fundamental importance as it will allow essential structural work in key departments for the Valdiano hospital," said regional councillor Corrado Matera. He was commenting on the news - confirmed in the last few hours - of the funding thanks to which important seismic adaptation, refunctionalisation and renovation works will be carried out in the operating rooms and the Gastroenterology and Emergency departments at Luigi Curto. The intervention is part of the Extraordinary Investment Program which refers to Article 20 of Law 67/1988: the total sum of 5 million euros includes a set of state funding and funds made available by the Campania Region. A significant result, reflecting a shared commitment to the well-being of citizens and the effectiveness of the regional health system. "I thank the general manager of the Asl Salerno Gennaro Sosto and the president of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca - concludes Matera - for having accepted and understood the correct territorial instances represented by me: this funding represents a fundamental step to structurally adapt the Luigi Curto hospital in Polla and improve the territorial health offer, and will allow to respond more satisfactorily to the emergencies and daily needs of the population."
