Foggia Stadium Closed to Caserta Fans Following Clashes

The "Zaccheria" stadium of Foggia will be closed to fans from Caserta. The decision came this morning in the meeting of the Gos: a ban on the sale of tickets to residents of the province of Caserta. The measure was adopted in light of the clashes in the first leg when the launch of smoke bombs and firecrackers by the Foggians was met with smoke bombs, objects, and a pitch invasion by the rossoblu fans. Subsequently, the police commissioner of Caserta, Andrea Grassi, issued Daspo bans for 14 fans (8 from Caserta and 6 from Puglia) totaling 56 years. The match against Foggia is scheduled for Friday evening with kick-off at 20:45. In the match on April 14 against Picerno, however, the Distinti sector of the "Pinto" will remain closed. The decision of the sports judge was adopted after the clashes in Castellammare on March 4, and season ticket holders for the stands will not even be able to purchase tickets for the tribune.
