Four Thieves Arrested in Avellino with Lockpicking Tools

Three Georgian thieves and a Moroccan were stopped by officers from the Mobile Squad and the Patrol Units of the Avellino Police Department. They were caught in the center of Avellino, during the night. The police identified two cars parked in a parking lot close to the central Via Piave. They immediately stopped the occupants of the cars, two of whom were in a rented Renault Arcana and two in an Opel Astra, proceeding with personal and vehicle search. As a result of this investigative activity, in a hidden compartment of the car, more than 36 keys used to open multiple types of house locks, a pair of binoculars, and gloves used to avoid leaving fingerprints at the time of the theft were seized. The four were reported for unjustified possession of keys and lock picks, and were also issued a mandatory order to leave the municipality of Avellino. The two cars were seized.
