This morning, the Framework Agreement was signed for the arrangement of critical points and paving of the road arteries under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan City falling within group B Eastern zone, sectors 7 and 10. The territories of 15 municipalities are involved, covering a road network of over 120 km. The restoration of the road surface, water regulation systems, and signage, the arrangement of barriers, and the cutting of grass and invasive shrubs are planned.
From the Metropolitan City of Naples, the start of interventions to improve the safety conditions of the road arteries falling within group B Eastern zone, sectors 7 and 10.
In fact, this morning, at the entity's headquarters in Piazza Matteotti, the Framework Agreement was signed concerning the arrangement of critical points and paving - for an amount of one million and 250 thousand euros - of the arteries under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan City falling within the territories of the municipalities of Afragola, Casoria, Nola, Acerra, Caivano, Marigliano, Mariglianella, Brusciano, Castello di Cisterna, Ottaviano, San Gennaro Vesuviano, Palma Campania, Pomigliano d'Arco, Casamarciano, and Comiziano, covering a road network of over 120 km.
The roads involved are of considerable importance due to the high flows of vehicular traffic: the works to be carried out have the main objective of improving the level of safety of transits and traffic flow.
Specifically, the interventions planned by the entity led by the Metropolitan Mayor, Gaetano Manfredi, concern the deep and superficial restoration of the road surface, the replacement and installation of safety barriers and expansion joints along the decks of bridges and viaducts, the adjustment and requalification of hydraulic regulation works, the requalification, adjustment, and restoration of vertical and horizontal signage, the cutting of grass, bushes, shrubs, and invasive species, as well as the arrangement of dangerous intersections and curves.
«As the Metropolitan City - stated the Councilor Delegate for Roads, Dionigi Gaudioso - we are continuing in the work of requalifying the road network under our jurisdiction. Also for the eastern area and the Nola area, we will guarantee the safety of motorists as part of a unified program of sustainable mobility».
The useful time for the completion of the works included in the contract is set at eight months, extendable for another four, without prejudice to the maximum value of the Agreement.
