Franco Ricciardi's National Theatrical Tour: A Journey into the Heart of Neapolitan Urban Music

The national theatrical tour "Je" by Franco Ricciardi continues today, Monday, March 25, at the Teatro Cilea in Naples; now a reference theater also for live music. "The decision was made immediately after the concert at the Maradona stadium, me and my team asked ourselves what else I could do after such an event. Performing at the theater was among the most exciting answers, here I not only sing but I confide, I tell my story. I am with my family, and it is beautiful," declares Franco Ricciardi. After touring the peninsula with more than thirty dates between Palermo, Modena, Milan, and Bari, the singer returns to perform in his city, which gave birth, more than twenty years ago, to the Neapolitan Urban scene. With an attendance in Italian theaters of over 25,000 people, "Je" is not just the title of Franco Ricciardi's latest album, and therefore the visual and vocal representation of some of the album's tracks, but it is an intimate journey into Franco's world. "Je," which means "I," is the depiction of his entire career, the entire life of a young boy from Secondigliano who would walk to the famous Fuorigrotta Stadium to have his songs heard, who then became a man, aware of his talent with the concert at the Maradona stadium. The concert, lasting two hours, tells the life of Franco who lays himself completely bare, from his dearest affections to music. There is also a tribute to his parents: "I also talk about my mother and father's bedroom - he adds - the one where I was born. It is in that room that both Francesco Liccardo and Franco Ricciardi were born. It is where everything began." Memories intertwine with the songs: "I also sing the first song I ever sang, 'O Tren do sole' by Mario Merola, singing it in front of the audience is a very strong emotion. I did not expect to sell out all the theaters, I am very happy it means that people feel close to me, they know I sing for them and for me this is the greatest success." Ricciardi's is not just a tour of the main theaters throughout Italy, as a true people's singer he will visit all the local markets of the cities he will visit to greet the people and thus always feel at home.
