Generous Donation from Ancient Petrone Distillery to Police Assistance Fund

A check of two thousand euros, corresponding to the proceeds from the sales of products from the Antica distilleria Petrone under the brand of the State Police, was delivered by the prefect of Caserta Giuseppe Castaldo and by the chief of police Andrea Grassi to the director of the Police State Assistance Fund, Serafina Fascina. The ceremony took place in Mondragone at the headquarters of the Antica distilleria Petrone, already known for having marketed the liqueur made with buffalo milk from Campania; in particular, the 2,000 euros were donated to the "Marco Valerio" Assistance Plan, which helps with the provision of an annual economic contribution to the families of police officers with minor children suffering from serious diseases. A plan established in the 60s under the name "Chronic Plan", but which since 2008 has been named after the young Marco Valerio, a 15-year-old son of the Police State Superintendent Vincenzo Ricca, who died returning from a pilgrimage to Lourdes, organized by the Fund for assisted youths. The minors assisted by the Plan are currently 700.
