German Judiciary Closes Investigation into the Death of Lavinia Trematerra

The German judiciary has closed the investigation into the death of Lavinia Trematerra, the seven-year-old girl from Naples who died on August 26, 2022, in Munich after being crushed by a marble statue inside a hotel where she was on vacation with her family. However, the proceedings initiated after the death are still open in Rome: in January, according to what her father Michele Trematerra reports, the act of filing made by the German magistrates was deposited at Piazzale Clodio. The Italian investigators are therefore analyzing the documents to evaluate the next steps, which are also linked to the issue of jurisdiction. The proceedings were initiated in the capital as a model 45, that is, without suspects and hypotheses of crime.
