Giovanni Cacciano, the provincial secretary of the Democratic Party (Pd), has been appointed commissioner of the San Giorgio del Sannio democratic circle. The appointment was conferred by Senator Antonio Misiani, the regional commissioner of the party and member of the national secretariat. The measure also concerns the assembly and executive bodies, which are to be formally revoked.
"I have been entrusted," explains Cacciano, "with the task of initiating, in the manner and timeframe provided by the statute, a shared journey to restore the leadership bodies of the circle. At the same time, with the greatest possible unity and with the collaboration and support of everyone, I will work to organize the participation of the party and its representatives in the next electoral appointment, aware that it will be necessary to prepare a broad and inclusive civic proposal open to the best experiences and intelligences of the territory."
For the new commissioner, "the municipal elections of the 8th and 9th of June represent a turning point in the recent history of San Giorgio. The early dissolution of the municipal council, the judicial affair of the former mayor, and the reappearance of the protagonists of that season that led to the brink of bankruptcy question the civil and political conscience of everyone and make it, at the same time, a collective spur to design an administrative future in the sign of discontinuity. It is necessary to turn the page and look to the future by setting up a plural project capable of moving passions and reactivating hopes that have now been dormant."
