Giugliano, Rom Ethnic Duo Arrested for Theft

In Giugliano in Campania, the Carabinieri have arrested two individuals of Rom ethnicity residing in the Asi area camp. Last night, the military personnel, engaged in an anti-robbery operation, noticed the two individuals - a 21-year-old and a 31-year-old - inside a car slowly driving through the main streets of Giugliano. A tailing operation began, which lasted quite some time, crossing several municipalities. The route taken by the two led the military to traverse various parking lots of some shopping centers until reaching Lusciano, in the province of Caserta. The two followed individuals got out of the car and, on viale della libertà, with a swift action, broke the glass of a parked car stealing the duffel bag inside. The chase began. The two headed back to Giugliano where, not without difficulty, they were stopped and arrested after attempting to flee into the nearby countryside. During the arrest phases, a Carabiniere sustained a knee injury deemed healable in seven days. The vehicle was seized, and the duffel bag returned to its rightful owner.
