Within the scope of the 'Fruit and Vegetables in Schools' program, promoted by the European Union, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Ministry of Health, Agea, ISMEA, the Regions and Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, Città della Scienza dedicates the weekend of April 13 and 14 to healthy eating. Through interactive workshops, experiments, and science shows, visitors both young and old will understand how important the consumption of fruit and vegetables is for the adoption of healthy eating habits. With the Interactive lab 'Guess Who ... of fruits and vegetables', girls and boys will discover, through quizzes and riddles, a fun and educational variant of the 'Guess Who' game. Meanwhile, with the Interactive lab 'Extraction and Observation of Photosynthetic Pigments', the young participants, using the technique of paper chromatography, will engage with the variety of pigments that play a role in photosynthesis and give various plants their colors. For all visitors, finally, the Science show 'Nutriamoci': to feed or to nourish: what is the meaning of these terms? Nutrients are the main components of foods. Foods, with a few exceptions, contain more than one nutrient. Thanks to this entertaining science show, all our visitors will be able to discover the nutritional principles hidden in fruits and vegetables! As always, the weekend's offerings will be enriched by shows at the Planetarium, guided tours of the interactive human body museum Corporea, the Insects & Co Exhibition and the new interactive exhibition on Physics for all ages running until June 30: Let's do an experiment!
