Herculaneum Archaeological Park Welcomes Spring with Record Visitor Numbers

The Herculaneum Archaeological Park greets winter with great satisfaction: the Park staff and Director Sirano joyfully declare that "The result of 36,999 visitors last January certifies that there is no longer a low season for the park". Director Sirano continues: "Thanks to the mild climate of these winter months, but surely we are reaping the benefits of a continuous and passionate work of promoting the cultural values of the site, which we carry on with all the staff from the first day of my appointment as director. We invite everyone to take advantage of the spring months to welcome them with events and extraordinary openings of sites and construction sites for an even more circular participation in the visit experience". The month of March opens with the initiative #domenicalmuseo, the awaited ministerial appointment that allows free access to museums and archaeological sites. The Park adheres and doubles the days of free entry, also participating in the further ministerial initiative for the Women's Day, when all women will be honored with free entry; on the same day of March 8, the appointment with close up construction sites, the guided tour behind the scenes of the restoration sites, for an even more diversified offer. Finally, starting March 15, the Park's summer schedule begins, with the gates opening at 8:30 am and closing at 7:30 pm (with last entry at 6:00 pm).
