High-Impact Police Operations in Naples Suburbs Lead to Arrests and Seizures

The high-impact services of the State Police, the Carabinieri, and the Guardia di Finanza continue. This morning, about 200 operators from various law enforcement agencies carried out numerous searches in Afragola, Casoria, Casavatore, and Caivano. The activity allowed the identification of several individuals, one of whom was arrested for possession of an illegal weapon, and several others were reported on various charges. During the service, the operators seized two pistols, one with a filed-off serial number and one blank-firing pistol without the red cap, numerous cartridges, 22 watches from well-known brands, of which 10 were counterfeit, more than 24,000 euros in cash, several quantities of foreign manufactured tobaccos without the State Monopoly brand, and a counterfeit license plate; in addition, some people were fined for violating traffic laws. The joint activity saw the participation of personnel from the mobile squad of Naples, the Afragola Police Station, the Campania crime prevention department, the mobile unit, the road police, and the scientific police; the Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna group, the Casoria company, the Afragola Station, the Campania regiment, the API (first intervention quotas) and the Sarno canine unit; in addition, the Guardia di Finanza with the ATPI component of the Ready Use Group of Naples and the Canine Units, with the Group of Torre Annunziata, the Group of Giugliano in Campania, the group of Frattamaggiore, personnel from the II Nom of Naples and the Capodichino Company. The activity in question saw the participation of the fire brigade personnel and was monitored from above by a helicopter from the Carabinieri helicopter unit.
