High School Students Triumph at Unistem Day Poster Competition

Another important milestone achieved by the Carlo Pisacane Scientific High School of Padula. The students of the 4th year A (Biomedical direction) and representatives of the 4th year B (Traditional) and 4th year E (Traditional) have won first place at the "Poster Competition" during Unistem Day, the event organized at the University of Basilicata, dedicated to learning, discovery, and discussion in the field of scientific research and stem cells. The students involved have carried out a project on "The applications of hyaluronic acid in generative biomedical research and in the fight against tumors" whose content was brilliantly presented by the student Caterina Grottola of the 4th year A. The project was awarded for its originality, completeness, scientific rigor, and graphic presentation. In the research process, the students were guided by the Science teachers, Professors Maria Rosaria Di Santi and Ornella Lobosco, and by an exceptional teacher: Professor Antonietta Pepe, Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Basilicata and former student of Pisacane. Satisfaction was expressed by the school principal Marilena Viggiano.
