The association «Who is Rom...and who is not», in collaboration with the «Scampia Literary Café», wants to keep the memory alive with an event that will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 5 pm at Chikù food and culture in Largo della cittadinanza attiva: the absolute preview, the screening of the animated short film «Rukeli», a fantastic reinterpretation of the story of the boxer Trollmann, victim of the Porrajmos, made by Alessandro Rak with the students of the ITI G. Ferraris and the young people from the Rom community who will participate in the event dedicated to little Michelle, a 6-year-old girl who died in the Rom camp of Giugliano from an electric shock.
The event is also promoted by Moss-Ecomuseum Scampia and La Kumpania with the patronage of the Municipality of Naples.
At 5.15 pm, there will be the presentation of the book 'Gypsy Race' by Dario Fo. A novel that tells the courageous challenge to Nazism by a boxing champion, Johann Trollmann (1907-1943), the best boxer of all in Nazi Germany.
«But he is a Sinti, a gypsy and a gypsy is not like other Germans». There will be a discussion with Silvana Casertano, readings by Mersiana Jasari, Angela Muharem and Seat Muharem.
