House Arrest Violation Leads to Arrest for Drug Dealing and Illegal Weapon Possession

He was under house arrest for drug-related offenses and was authorized, after daily notification to the carabinieri, to go to work at one of the agricultural funds of Villa Literno from Monday to Saturday, from 07:30 to 16:30. As per daily routine, yesterday morning the 46-year-old from Villa Literno contacted the military station to communicate his movement. The operational center of the Casal di Principe Company sent a patrol to the agricultural fund indicated by the man to verify his regular presence. However, the man never arrived at his workplace. The military officers then surprised the man in the city center of Villa Literno, while he was interacting with a man who was handing him some money. The two, noticing the arrival of the carabinieri, attempted to flee in opposite directions but were reached and stopped. During the personal and vehicular search, carried out on the 46-year-old, then extended to the house where he is under house arrest, cocaine, material suitable for packaging, a precision scale, 675 euros in cash, divided into various denominations, smartphones, and a 9mm bullet were found. The drug was enough for the packaging of at least 10 doses. The 46-year-old was taken to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere on charges of possession with intent to distribute drugs and illegal possession of weapons.
