The local police of Naples intervened in a property of the Galleria Umberto I to verify the legality of the ongoing works. Inside, on a surface of about 30 square meters with a loft, and various rooms at different depths, the officers surprised two workers engaged in the reclamation of the underground area, with numerous construction waste stacked in piles ready for disposal.
The workers, without a regular employment contract, declared the absence of the property owner and the responsible technician, unable to reach the place.
In front of this, the entire property has been subjected to criminal seizure for lack of authorizations and for violation of work safety regulations, despite the premises being subject to monumental protection.
