The provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza, as part of the services aimed at economic control of the territory, recently seized an illegal dump in Melizzano. In particular, the soldiers of the Solopaca detachment had noticed that an uncontrolled deposit of special waste was located in a wooded area adjacent to the municipal road.
On the affected area, of about 14,000 square meters, there were dangerous special products, such as paints and solvents. In addition, there were also abandoned materials resulting from building demolitions, tires, mattresses, and wooden furniture. After the discovery of the special waste, the soldiers had ascertained that the owner of the land used as an illegal dump was a resident of Crispano (Naples). Therefore, the area was seized and the owner was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Benevento, as he was responsible for environmental violations.
Further investigations are underway to try to identify those responsible for the illegal dumping of waste from the demolition of buildings and industrial processes.
The blitz is further evidence of the constant garrison exercised by the body on the territory, in protection of the health of citizens and the legal economy. In any case, the reported person is under investigation and therefore presumed innocent until final judgment.
