Yesterday, officers from the San Paolo Police Station and the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, during their patrol, intervened in Cornelia dei Gracchi street following a report of a person threatened by an illegal parking attendant.
The police, promptly arrived at the scene, were approached by a Penitentiary Police officer, off duty, who had stopped an individual. The officer reported that, while he was parking his car, he was approached by the alleged criminal who had asked him for money for the parking and, in response to his refusal, had threatened to physically assault him and to damage his car.
Furthermore, the suspect, during the control phases, threw a tantrum until, not without difficulty, he was restrained.
For these reasons, a 49-year-old man from Naples was arrested for attempted extortion and resistance to a Public Officer.
