Illegal Waste Management Leads to Charges in Naples

The Carabinieri Forestry Unit of Naples, belonging to the Carabinieri Forestry Group of Naples, as part of a control campaign organized for environmental protection, has charged a 53-year-old and a 43-year-old, both residents of Naples, for illegal waste management. The 53-year-old, in his capacity as the owner of a commercial activity selling parts and accessories for motor vehicles, used an area of his business premises for the dismantling of motor vehicles, producing both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. This waste consisted mainly of plastics and mechanical parts of vehicles that had not been decontaminated. The waste was packed in bags. As for the 43-year-old, in the area of Chiaiano, on a site of about 1000 square meters, he managed an activity of car demolition and sale of spare parts. On the site, various types of waste were found, classifiable as hazardous. They lacked references for traceability.
