The ASL Caserta signed an agreement in 2022 with the company Boehringer Ingelheim Italia S.p.A. for a “Project of Improvement of Clinical Governance for Patients Suffering from Diabetes in ASL Caserta,” further expanded in 2023 with an additional focus on the clinical governance of patients suffering from Cardiorenal metabolic diseases. The project was carried out with the technical support of Deloitte Consulting SRL. The data analysis, provided in compliance with current privacy regulations and with the collaboration of Dr. Claudio Linguiti from Scig, was entrusted to the company Clicon. The project's contact person for ASL Caserta was identified as Dr. Antonella Guida, Director of District 12.

In the initial phase, on an experimental basis and following the strategic direction's guidance, Districts 12, 22, 23 were involved along with branch coordinators for the specialties of Diabetology and Cardiology, some General Practitioners, and Aft coordinators of the mentioned districts. Currently, this project, following the guidance of the health district coordinator, Dr. Vincenzo Iodice, has led, among the results, to a proposal for the revision and update of the Diabetes Pdta, already adopted with resolution no. 965 of July 27, 2020, also in light of DM 77/2022, a proposal followed for the specialist area by Dr. Andrea Del Buono.

The work of revision and the results of the project will be brought to the attention of the entire court of professionals involved, with a presentation meeting, scheduled for May 14 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Order of Doctors of Caserta, with the participation of the general director of ASL Caserta, Amedeo Blasotti, the medical director, Saverio Misso, and the coordinator of the ASL districts, Vincenzo Iodice. Speakers will include Dr. Antonella Guida and Dr. Andrea Del Buono.
