Inauguration of the 'Friendship Soup Kitchen' in Memory of Journalist Marco Dongu

At the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Caserta, on the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, Bishop Pietro Lagnese inaugurated the 'Friendship Soup Kitchen,' a facility dedicated to the memory of the young journalist Marco Dongu, who tragically died in a road accident, in the presence of his parents and a delegation of the Caserta firefighters led by commander Paolo Massimi. Don Antonello, highlighting that there are more than a hundred volunteers who will alternate in various duties, emphasized how the parish church, the house of God among the homes of men, is the heart of the community. Bishop Lagnese, in the presence of numerous faithful, blessed the facility and highlighted how between it and the neighborhood there is the opportunity for a fruitful religious and social exchange aimed at evangelization and the diaconate of charity. And it is within this web of relationships that the 'Friendship Soup Kitchen' was inaugurated with the Lord's blessing.
