Inauguration of the New Outdoor Fitness Area in Curti

With the traditional ribbon-cutting by Mayor Antonio Raiano, accompanied by all the members of his majority and the new candidates, the outdoor fitness area on Via Aurora in Curti was officially inaugurated. The new space was created thanks to state funding under the PNRR Sport and Social Inclusion initiative. The outdoor gym features numerous state-of-the-art equipment and is located at the center of a loop over 400 meters long, along which everyone can jog and walk for their psycho-physical well-being free of charge. At the inaugural event, there were many citizens and representatives of the local football, basketball, and women's volleyball teams present. After the blessing of Don Valerio Porrini, Mayor Raiano took the floor, stating: "Today we open to the city a facility that is up to date, which is part of a planning that in these years has seen the redevelopment of sports facilities located in the municipal territory. In fact, just a few weeks ago, after significant structural and safety upgrades, the sports hall became operational again and was reopened to the public. Soon, further interventions will also be made to the sports field. Our goal is to continue the work started five years ago, aimed at taking care of the psycho-physical well-being of the young, the elderly, and the disabled." Also present at the initiative was the athlete Michele Merola, a kickboxing champion, who in recent years has stood out in competitions both nationally and internationally. The mayor and the municipal administration awarded Michele, who has brought honor to Curti with his sports performances.
