Inner Areas Forum: High-Speed Mobility and Broadband Connectivity

The theme and program of the next Inner Areas Forum have been announced, which will take place at the "La Pace" Center on May 6 and 7, titled "High Speed: Leaving, Returning...Perhaps Staying". During the first day, students, as well as administrators, economic operators, and social forces, will engage with the CEO of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, Gianpiero Strisciuglio, about the opportunities but also the risks of high-speed mobility programs, particularly the High-Speed/Capacity Naples-Bari line. As highlighted in a note from the Diocese of Benevento, it is the first time that representatives of the new generations will discuss this strategic theme in terms of vision with the leaders of the largest company for railway infrastructure to concretely and prejudicially address the issue of connections and their enhancement in view of important individual life choices and common development horizons. The other theme, also related to speed as a tool for growth, will be that of ultra-wideband and its "low speed" in the most marginalized centers. In this case, the discussion, including proposals for youth retention in the territories, will take place with the top national executives of Open Fiber and the "South Working – Working from the South" project. The students from higher education institutes who are the protagonists of the 2023 session of the Forum will present their projects through which they propose, with creativity and protagonism, also the reasons for "Why Stay".
