Innovation in Campania's healthcare. The Naples Cancer Institute has adopted the fidtherapy solution for drug logistics management, introducing computerized carts and cabinets in all hospital departments.
Fidtherapy is an innovative computerized solution, composed of fidcare therapies (the software that manages all clinical and logistical processes in the department), computerized carts fidrun and computerized cabinets fidrokidrok, capable of accompanying medical and nursing staff in all stages of the prescription and administration process, avoiding errors and simplifying activities.
In particular, the system has the advantage of reducing clinical risk through the perfect application of the "6G rule" (right patient-right drug-right dose-right route-right time-right recording); the whole process is indeed controlled, the drugs are identified through barcodes, while the patients are identified with bracelets, also guaranteeing greater privacy. This way, the control of costs and access to drugs and devices by staff is improved.
The system is integrated with the regional siac for the management of drug reorders directly in the department: in real time, the central pharmacy and the region are able to know the needs of the individual departments and therefore optimize purchases.
The project was realized with the support of Almaviva and two Campania companies, kiranet and coevia systems.
