A new technology enriches the equipment of the Colli Hospital Organization. The new Cardio CT has been installed at the Complex Operative Unit of Radiology of the Monaldi Hospital in Naples, directed by Tullio Valente. A cutting-edge device, purchased with Por Fesr funding of over 2 million euros, which will allow to improve the already very high level of services offered to patients suffering from cardiac diseases, through the performance of very high-resolution CT scans useful in evaluating conditions such as acute myocarditis, cardiomyopathies, and myocardial infarction with normal coronaries. This brand-new device, the first to be installed in a public health facility in Campania, combines very high definition of images, precision, and speed of execution. These factors are crucial especially in the presence of non-cooperative patients or those with cardiovascular problems, to whom it will be possible to perform the diagnostic examination without having to administer drugs to slow down the heart rate. It is worth mentioning that the new Cardio CT is just the latest acquisition desired by the general manager of the Colli Hospital Organization, Anna Iervolino, as part of an ambitious technological renewal plan that includes total investments of over 8 million euros from community funds and the PNRR. "Innovation is advancing by leaps and bounds - emphasizes the general manager Anna Iervolino - for this reason, it is imperative that hospital facilities adopt a proactive approach towards technological modernization. The Colli Hospital Organization has a consolidated expertise in the cardiopulmonary field and, with this new acquisition, we enhance the care offer for our patients, confirming ourselves as a national reference center for the study and treatment of cardiovascular diseases." Also, for the technological modernization of the Colli Hospital Organization, more than one million euros have been invested to enhance the diagnostics of the Monaldi and CTO hospitals with the installation of state-of-the-art radiographic systems, which allow to perform radiographic examinations with and without contrast medium, and other RX interventional equipment (C-Arm), essential for performing radiographic investigations during surgical and orthopedic procedures. Another 500 thousand euros have been invested from PNRR funds for the installation of two fixed digital angiographs of the latest generation for the enhancement of interventional cardiology. Also significant is the investment of about 1 million euros, also from POR-FESR funds, for the purchase of 20 latest generation systems for the anesthesiological management of patients that are being installed in as many operating rooms.
