Interagency Raid in San Lorenzo

In a statement, the municipal police of Naples announced the execution of "an important interagency operation in the San Lorenzo district, along via Pietro Colletta, aimed at verifying the health, administrative, and labor conditions of various food sector businesses. The intervention – conducted in the evening and night hours – saw the joint participation of the Environmental Investigative and Social Emergencies Unit of the Local Police with personnel from ASL Napoli 1 Centro – SIAN and SPSAL Services, Territorial Labor Inspectorate, ABC Napoli, and ENEL Distribution." Seized non-compliant food. The press release details the irregularities found. "The inspections revealed serious violations, with fines totaling over 11,700 euros. Tickets were issued for unauthorized occupation of public land, unauthorized serving, irregular advertising, and improper waste management. The Food and Nutrition Hygiene Service (SIAN) also ordered the immediate suspension of serving in the cited establishments due to the absence of the necessary SCIA and seized over 45 kg of food lacking traceability or not compliant with self-control regulations, also finding 6 minor hygiene violations, with an obligation to regularize within 30 days." Labor condition checks. The Workplace Prevention and Safety Service (SPSAL) conducted surveys related to workplace safety, in collaboration with other inspection bodies, identifying 6 workers, and in one case, the lack of documentation for a collaborator was noted. Checks on working hours are ongoing in two businesses. The assessments conducted by ABC and ENEL revealed minor administrative irregularities, already in the process of regularization and without criminal relevance.
