International Arrest Warrant Executed in Historic Centre Accommodation Facility

Yesterday, the agents of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, during the territorial control service, intervened in an accommodation facility in the historic centre following a report for an 'alert lodged'. The police officers, who arrived on the spot, ascertained that a man, a 46-year-old Algerian, recipient of an international arrest warrant, issued by the authorities of Qatar for the crime of issuing 'blank checks', had arrived at the accommodation facility. Therefore, the agents proceeded with the provisional arrest for extradition purposes.
