Introduction of Electronic Grocery Vouchers in Sant'Agata de' Goti

Presented yesterday, at the council hall of Palazzo San Francesco, the operation system of Electronic Grocery Vouchers, drawing on the municipal solidarity fund for 2023, aimed at purchasing basic necessities, food, personal hygiene products, household cleaning products, and medications for families in economic difficulty. The contribution will be issued through an electronic voucher managed digitally using the beneficiary's tax code and a PIN code communicated via SMS. "The new vouchers," explains the social policy councilor Angelina Iannotta, "are digitized to be easily used by citizens. An important innovation that simplifies and improves the quality of services offered by the Municipality, always close to the needs of the weaker sections. The vouchers can be used exclusively at commercial activities accredited with the Municipality of Sant'Agata de' Goti no later than June 30, 2024. The list of accredited activities for the withdrawal of digital Grocery Vouchers is updated daily and is published on the official website of the Municipality, where the methods of using the vouchers are also indicated." A digital platform has also been set up for commercial establishments for automatic accreditation that, in a simple and immediate way, will allow the acquisition of Vouchers. "In the last three and a half years," emphasizes the mayor of Sant'Agata, Salvatore Riccio, "this administration has always paid maximum attention to situations of economic and social hardship. We are aware that the economic crisis gripping the country, the increase in prices in various sectors, from raw materials to basic goods, are factors that are putting many Italian families and many of our fellow citizens in great difficulty. The vouchers, drawing on the municipal solidarity fund 2023, assigned to those entitled who have submitted an application following a public notice, represent vital support for those in difficulty and we, as a civic government, have the obligation but also the moral duty to identify and use all the resources at our disposal to try to provide at least some help to those who really need it."
