Investigation Leads to Restraining Order Against Man for Domestic Abuse

After a targeted investigation coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of Benevento, led by prosecutor Aldo Policastro, the military of the carabinieri station of Telese Terme have enforced a restraining order against the offender and the places usually frequented by him, maintaining a distance of no less than 500 meters, with further prescription of the prohibition of communication with the victim. The order was issued by the judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Benevento, at the request of the Sannita Prosecutor's Office, against a forty-nine-year-old local man, seriously suspected of domestic abuse committed against his 45-year-old wife, with the aggravating factor of having committed the acts in the presence of minor children. The investigations were initiated following the complaint filed by the victim at the local command of the Arma, in which she reported repeated episodes of violence and abuse carried out by her husband against her since 2017, even in the presence of minor children, describing repeated physical and verbal aggression, violent and harassing behavior in the domestic sphere, generated by obsessive jealousy and corroborated by the statements made by the victim and witnesses, including the couple's minor daughter. The woman, among other things, had explained that, months before filing the complaint, she had gone to an anti-violence center, where she was taken in charge. During the execution of the restraining order, the man gave his consent to the application of the 'electronic bracelet'.
