The collective of Italian and international cartoonists and illustrators for Free Palestine is called "Falastin Hurra"  and it will conclude on February 4th in the Refectory hall of the monumental complex of San Domenico Maggiore.

The event has been hosted in the Refectory Hall since January 3rd. The cultural soul and the backbone of the exhibition lies in the project “Kufia, Italian pencils for Palestine”, realized in Naples 35 years ago, when the idea of “two peoples, two states” still had a glimmer of hope. The project was centered around the works of great designers, including Andrea Pazienza, Guido Crepax, Magnus, Milo Manara, Altan, Josè Muñoz, Vauro, Filippo Scozzari, Giuseppe Palumbo, Lorenzo Mattotti and a text by Stefano Benni.

But at San Domenico Maggiore, in addition to “Kufia” in its various editions, there will be two areas dedicated to young Italian and foreign designers and another area for Palestinian designers. During the exhibition period, there have been various moments of presentation of artists - actors, photographers, directors- in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. Some images on display, and with the comics for sale, will be hosted at the “DOM Santi Bevitori Literary Cafe”, at no.16 always in Vico San Domenico.

Before closing on February 4th, Tuesday 30th will be a day full of events. It starts with the Modern Ensemble of the Liceo Margherita di Savoia interpreting two pieces, “Bella Ciao” and a historical one by Area. Then the guest of honor from the world of drawing, Vauro, a great artist of satire and national cartoon, in dialogue with the teacher Francesca Bellino and our alino.

Next, we will have online meetings with the Palestinian designer Mohamed Sabaaneh, and his Italian publisher Anita Magno of Mesogea. Following some moments of literature and music: the presentation of the book by essayist Paola Caridi, on Hamas, in dialogue with the teacher Monica Ruocco, and moderated by Francesco Romanetti. Then the literary relay of Viola Ardone, Riccardo Brun, Paola Caridi, Daniela De Crescenzo, Lorenzo Marone, Valeria Parrella, Pier Luigi Razzano, Massimiliano Virgilio, who will read selected passages from the "Book of Disappearance" by Palestinian writer Ibtisam Azem, published in Italy by Hopefulmonster.
